Here's a little more that I wanted to edit into my previous post but then it got replied to and I guess you can't edit a comment after it's replied to? Anyway:
omg, I know both of them! BusterSword only vaguely, but FireHahahahahahahaha and I chat on Facebook!
Wow, what a phenomenal piece of writing. This might be the best thing I've ever read on this site... or at least the best thing not written by tim rogers (sorry, huge fanboy). I was never a member of EOFF, but I have very similar memories with two other sites: Caves of Narshe and Advent Children Net. CoN was an…
protip: hit the big orange button to change to black-on-white
This is actually kinda dumb. LttP is a fantastic game, but its overworld is actually one of its few faults. I think it's got the most boring overworld of any 2D Zelda game. So we're getting an entirely new game... except with the same overworld as the game with the worst overworld. WOO.
I was more offended by how awful the scene was. As someone in the article mentioned, "ham-handed as hell." But even worse than that: when Booker comes back up out of the water he's coughing and sputtering as if he had been drowning. What the hell, Booker? Did you not hold your breath? It's not like the priest took you…
hehehe. it doesn't have the freshness of Gangnam Style, but i still really liked it. there were some pretty hilarious parts in the video and i think i might actually like the song more
oh man. this makes me so happy. anime has fallen into the WORST rut in the last few years, in storytelling and ESPECIALLY visual style. i hope this anime ends up being really fantastic
I'm in the same boat as you. I thought Bioshock had a phenomenal atmosphere and not much else. The plot and philosophical stuff I found a bit high school, and the mechanics were a major step down from System Shock 2. However... it was a hell of a place to be in. And Bioshock Infinite looks the same way. I'm gonna buy…
wait, SCEA actually has a policy that games without voice acting can't come in boxes?
They guy might not be WRONG, per say, but what bugs me is his incredibly limited view of game design. The man is GREAT at what he does, but look at his list of "great" game designers: it's all people who do things similar to him. Open-ended, complex, feature-rich (but MECHANICALLY hella dull) RPG/sim/world things. And…
Damn. The HD version looks great, but this comparison really shows how pretty the original is. I still think it's a rather shit game, but both of them have some of the prettiest environments of last gen.
it's... it's beautiful
Holy shit that is incredible. Lauren Faust is such. a. badass.
I'm making a game where you do this! It's a Japanese-style RPG, and one of the nations in the game speaks a different language. However, when you visit that nation, you have an npc translator following you around everywhere and translating for you. But he's with you for a specific reason, not just to help you…
SHMUPS. god i love shmups
idunno if "love" is the right word. i feel like most gamers "love" company execs in the same way that one can "love" films like Plan 9 From Outer Space or Birdemic. we enjoy these people because of the hilariously stupid things they sometimes do and say, not from some weird sense of idolatry.
oh god, i didn't recognize Zeal from Chrono Trigger. guess i should turn in my videogame card :(
i love y'all's use of ))))))))) for smiles. it's so much easier to do a whole bunch of them!
