I don't normally like to plug my blog, but I really feel this brief piece I wrote on Sonic the Hedgehog is very relevant. It's a bit rough, and my thoughts on the subject (particularly the last few paragraphs) have developed a lot since I wrote it, but I still am pretty proud of it. I feel that Sonic games,

i guess i'm just not open-minded enough, cuz as much as i try to not be incredibly creeped out by this... nope, i can't. sorry japan!

Seriously. If he needs to do all these "experiments" to see what the online social media psyche is like... well, he'll just never get it. Any character designed by these experiments is going to be a fucking psychopath.

you shouldn't have done that...

if this was made by, say, thatgamecompany, i'd say it looks cool, but since broken rules made "And Yet it Moves," which was a piece of shit, this will probably be crap, too. really lazy aesthetic and probably nonexistant gameplay.

Kojima-san doesn't have to make Metal Gear OR ZoE anymore.

what's so odd about it? the GENERAL rule for superlatives is that if it has one or two syllables, you add -er or -est. If it has more than two syllables, you use more/most. Of course, as with many language rules, this carries the caveat of "unless it sounds weird," and I think stupid used to fall under this category,

OH MAN OH MAN OH MAN is someone calling Xenogears "one of the best RPGs ever?" Time for me to chime in MY TWO FRIGGIN' CENTS.

What the heck? 200 hours? Man, that's just flat-out wrong. Dude, the game is like 50 hours. Also, the second disc is very short, so if you are halfway through the first one then you're like 40% through the game. I'm not the biggest fan of the game, but if you were enjoying it then you should definitely pick it back

yeah, IQ tests don't mean much. i have an IQ of around 147, but I generally don't tell people. they just get all... "omg you're so smaaaaaaaaaart!" and honestly, yes, i am really smart, but i'm also just a normal guy, y'know? a regular ol' college dude who makes mostly good grades and is totally socially normal (okay,

Yeah, this game is really great! I and a friend run a very tiny gaming blog, but Skygoblin actually sent us a review copy when we asked a few weeks ago. Since we were really grateful to have gotten our first-ever pre-release review copy of a game, we were REALLY hoping the game would be good so we could give it a good

i'm only a sonic the hedgehog hipster

that is the worst jacket ever and i am so buying that and wearing it every fucking day

i love me some ponies, but i didn't think these were particularly clever. PASS.

bahahahahahaha. Decava's was the best by far.

LOL. though, to be fair, price of headphones usually DOES correlate with noise-cancelling

you forgot the most important reason!

exactly! i too got it with humble indie bundle (i think it was #3), and i was actually somewhat appalled that its creator was actually charging money for it. if i was making that game (and I am currently making one of my own), i would never in good conscience be able to charge actual money for it. heck, i probably

Man, this looks pretty cool, but And Yet it Moves was AWFUL. I couldn't believe anyone could have possible created or enjoyed it. Its main gimmick wasn't particularly interesting, it had zero level design whatsoever, and its aesthetic was lazy and unimaginative.

gross. the only reason this doesn't result in crowd-pleasing, yet totally awful games is because Creative Assembly are lucky enough to be actually really talented. Which means they don't need to do this anyway.
