Sounds vaguely like the proverbial Canadian girlfriend who can’t come to prom.

Here’s something for your consideration: Twenty One Pilots are absolutely terrible.
No.
Can’t AVClub afford air-conditioning?
Unfortunately the winning guess was:
And pancakes are overrated AF.
You didn’t attend her funeral? So as you say this was a women who you knew since you were toddlers. I assume that means you were pretty good friends. Instead of being there for those two children when they probably need people the most you got on your high horse and road away.
I wish Sam Bee hadn’t rolled over for this. She had to have known beforehand that calling Ivanka Trump a cunt was gonna blow up in her face, and that a bunch of disingenuous shitheels would be screaming for her head regardless of whether she “apologized.” She should’ve really doubled down on it & devoted all 22…
This is a bad take
You know, I am usually on board with most of your takes about stuff like this, but that goddamn “Brothers in Arms” portion of the episode killed me dead, so I disagree. I thought it was a perfect use of the song and the episode’s time, and thought “With or Without You” was a great thematic choice as well.

SPOILERS WITHIN...
I hate U2 and I’ve watched that part 5 times. It’s exceptional, and there’s no way to write the dialogue and have it be good television. What...you’re gonna watch Stan say, “hey slugger, your parents are gone forever because they’re Russian spies and didn’t tell you. I’m FBI, and we should probably…

That song/scenes in the Americans finale was one of the best scenes in the whole series. I dislike that band but the song was perfect for those scenes.
Awful, awful take.
Alia Shawkat is MVP of this first half of the season, for sure.
I’d be fine with them ditching overarching plots completely. Or changing the episode order. Or new writers. Or anything else besides the current format that really isn’t working.
The web of Chelsea Peretti is just crazy. She’s childhood friends with Samberg, married to Jordan Peele, and her brother is CEO of Buzzfeed.
It’s doubly strange, because their onscreen friendship is supposedly based on their real-life friendship.
since Avengers: Infinity War blew up the MCU’s status quo, so it’s good to know that Ghostface is still kicking post-Thanos
