As someone who has spent the past four decades repressing and internalizing my true feelings for family members' actions and decisions, I watched that scene with a mixture of fascination, awe and even envy because I know I could never be so brutally, painfully honest.

I know, the writing demonstrates like maybe a third grader's understanding of how the police/judicial system works.

You might be right about the car scene, the other guy seemed so standoffish toward Mary. Unless I missed something, he wouldn't even acknowledge her, it was odd.

Yes! And that professional could be Gwen, the maid who left Downton to become a secretary.

I think she was being critical of Ivy's overall shallowness. This whole "love rectangle" began because of Ivy's insistence on pursuing Jimmy because she found him more attractive than Alfred, even though he acted dickish toward her time and again. In fact he only pretended to show interest in her to rile up Alfred,

Agreed. But he was so affected-sounding that I started to think he was doing an impersonation of someone we should know.

"..who sits in a darkened room, waiting for someone to come home so he can dramatically flip the lights on and scare the wits out of people."
My mom did that to me on a regular basis when I was in high school/home from college, when she suspected I was out drinking. Good times.

I love this idea. There have been occasional glimpses of Daniel where he seems like he has an agenda. And those flashbacks to when he was in college and crossed paths with Amanda/Emily could be another clue.

Hilarious. Definitely not enough hours in a day for REVENGE. Especially when you also have to keep penciling in revenge making up or breaking up with Nolan, depending on what the situation dictates.
