Does "Starfuckers Inc." from Nine Inch Nails count?
Does "Starfuckers Inc." from Nine Inch Nails count?
I don't know, afair a lot of scenes that were "state of the art" at the time of their production feel incredibly "dated" to younger audiences.
also: (moderate) sex scenes (as seen in "Jessica Jones").
wasn't the main criticism at that time something different though?
I think it's almost apples and oranges because (so far) they have such a different tone.
exactly. the assumption that most people have watched it "ironically" seems weird, especially considering that "The Ridiculous 6" was reported to have done record numbers as well.
the long con.
one could argue that in a way it's less creepy than installing it in a grownup (because than sex would be a real issue).
which btw makes you wonder what todays' tv series that kids/teens like and eventually be puzzled about later will be.
would the target audience for "Fuller House" want that kind of show though?
hint: if you thought the original Full House was already garbage, isn't your opinion on a spinoff that is aimed at *fans* of that show pretty much irrelevant?
"Our little Jarvis is in love."
I think Jason getting mad was more about him than anyone else. and to me felt like it was meant as the first sign of him potentially "turning evil".
"If Carter was a male seducing then attacking a lusty female Hugh Jones with memory-wiping and unbuckling, in a scene played for lolz, ABC would be choking in justifiably angry Tweets right now."
"I don't want to see another African American male become the stereotypical bad guy."
he does this even make sense?
not questioning the moral side but would it actually be considered "rape" from a legal standpoint? I mean, the other person still consented to sex.
the short callback during his speech it what put it over the top for me.
because having henchmen is awesome.
to me that's actually a huge part of the joke. just like the over-the-top sexism in the old James Bond movies (the reason I enjoy those scenes is not because I think it's "so cool he treats women like toys" but because he's such a laughable douchebag).
