Drumming, duh.
Drumming, duh.
flicking your wrist 90 degrees, from horizontal to vertical, in .025 seconds. Like the developers at Valve, I would have guessed players with super twitch skills would be able to move fast, but not that fast.
God of War, vs. the Valkyrie Queen. After about 10 attempts, my patience was wearing thin. I started up for another go, and was doing alright, getting her to about half health through some a grueling back-and-forth, when I made a few missteps and got knocked down to about 5% health in just a couple of seconds. One…
There is the sense of randomness that you do not get with another game. In a traditional game you always start the match at the same location, with the same loadout and the objectives being in the same location each and every time. The only dynamic aspect is how good/bad your/opposing team is.
I think it’s the replayability factor combined with a system that creates dynamic focal points and ramps up action the longer you play.
The monetization in Apex Legends isn’t bad at all, what are you getting on about?
Yes. A pretty mild one.
There’s also a fair bit of really nasty homophobia and transphobia that I found amongst some of the creators of Overwatch videos. Apart from how bigoted and wrong it is to be like that in the modern day, it’s always dismaying to see porn dominated by assholes in more than one way. Straight men aren’t your only…
idk I thought the joke was pretty hilarious lol, just because people suffered through something doesn’t mean it can’t be joked about. I’d say that most of the best jokes are born from some sort of trauma. Comedy is just a way of working through stuff differently. Though the corporate aspect is whack
IDK about generic, but third person Destiny is exactly what I asked for. Add Iron Man power suits to that and the game will have to be pretty bad for me to not give it a go. Hopefully there’s an open beta.
Their stories are pretty different, XII is a large-scale story of empires at war and how a few people can affect that while X is about a small group in a disaster-torn world and how they might be able to fix that. Both main characters are kinda mediocre but both have solid secondary characters. However, I’d…
Please tell me there is a Chronicler somewhere, recording all these events into a Romance of the Three Kingdoms style book(s)
A Devolver representative tells Kotaku “this is stupid”
Duuude Point Blank was my JAM back in the day. Goddamn classic.
Now listen up, you troglodytes. You’re going to come at me about how this totally erases the OBVIOUS RAMPANT SEXISM. As if the sexism that Ellie faced was un-sexism because it was a guy all along. And as if it wasn’t still wholly indicative of the experience that women face trying to enter esports.
Another take:
This is a touching, very well written tribute that speaks as well of the players as it does you and Kotaku.
Just in case you forgot.
There have been a lot of positive and impactful people in gaming this year, but there is no more correct answer to the question of Gamers of the Year than this article.
