Some performance Kei cars are actually “63hp” at the wheels, many will actually dyno at a much higher number. The 63hp is a number a manufacturer submit to the government to get the car approved for Kei class.
Quite a few will be imported into the US to pull rally duties. It’s probably the cheapest option available currently that’s FIA OKed.

Mainly for sound. You can tune the sound better with dual pipes than a single. Things such as cabin drone can be tuned out with dual resonators, and the engineers can tune for a deeper, more “muscular” sound instead of the high pitch whine associated w/ 4 cylinders.
