Because they sold their soul to the devil “Toyota” for the secret marketing prediction on Americans wanting nothing but CUVs around 10 years ago......

But who will form the head?

Supposedly new block and head, with a ton of expensive go-fast Nismo parts inside. Also, hand build by Nismo master technician.

Check engine light comes on in 3.... 2.... 1.....

A large manufacturing plant does not just build finished goods for domestic consumption, that volume would be too low to sustain the plant. A large portion of the plant’s finished goods must be exported to rest of the world.

Majority of the parts are not locally sourced, even for domestic brands. And the tooling for those parts usually are not transferable.

City roads in Japan are really really narrow, imagine 2/3 width of US roads narrow.

Take a look at the Micro Pedalflow, basically a bike/scooter hybrid.

Yes, Gogoro is pretty much the Tesla of local scooter market in Taiwan, and Kymco, SYM, and Yamaha are itching to gain back to share they lost to Gogoro. Gogoro have installed battery swap locations at every gas station, 7-11, Family Mart, and supermarkets. It’s actually faster to swap batteries than it is to fill up.

Most of the world’s ICs are manufactured here. Most of the world’s advanced cruise control radars are manufactured here. All of your LTE/5G radar head-ends are designed and build here. All of your direct TV equiptment are designed and build here. Most of the laptops, servers, networking equipment, wireless equipment

Have you ever flown international into or out of LAX? It’s a 2 hour line getting in (immigration for US citizen), and a 2 hour line getting out (TSA). Then anther hour for getting/return rental car. After you finally pickup your rental, then you immediately get stuck in the worst traffic hell hole of your life as you

I believe the super aggressive camber scene started in Japan, so they were the trend setters, instead of the followers.

One, just one giant spacer per wheel, and some +offset wheels.

Majority of those hellaflush cars in Japan ride on airbags. Also, have you seen how baby butt smooth the roads in Japan are?

There are alot more FDs in Japan than there are in US, so I think it’s OK to tinker with them a bit.

They still can’t get the hubs right, we had to swap the R180 differential hub with factory R160 hub on all 20+ shafts because DSS insist on delivering shafts with R180 differential hub only.

Actually the Levorg is based on the current gen WRX platfrom, and is a better fit for the rest of world market as it is much smaller, more agile, wagon(!) than then Legacy platform.

Truthfully, after going through 2 Subarus, an EJ207 GC STi and an SH9 Forester, I think I’m done with them as my auto manufacturer of choice. It’s been fun, but I’m looking for more refinement as I get further into middle age. Maybe the new Ranger Raptor would fulfill my refinement + fun + mild offroad needs.

I hope DSS didn’t get the order wrong, my friend is one of their reseller here in Asia, and last year we ordered over 20 carbon center drive shafts for the 3rd gen SH Forester in 1 shot (all installed). If they get a measurement or QC wrong, we’re all fucked!

They have that, it’s called the Levorg and it’s available everywhere except NA because apparently you guys hate turbo wagons.
