I’m hoping for a true Levorg STi, won’t mind if it had a 2 inch factory lift to get it categorized as a crossover.

I had the ringland go on 2 pistons in my EJ255, the pistons literally crumbled into multiple chunks. Ended up sleeving and running forged pistons to remedy the situation. I always felt there is a material issue with the stock EJ pistons. Wonder if they used Kobe Steel to source material for their pistons?

My 3rd gen SH Forester, with the 4spd auto (the only transmission offered on the Forester in this part of the world) pulls 5sec flat 0-60 on the P-Box.

Always go for the custom tune, even with just the Cobb intake. The E257 ECU is very sensitive to change to the intake diameter, and will advance the hell out of your timing to compensate, leaving you with parts of your map where the engine runs super lean. A custom tune will be able to dial back the timing advance

Subarus come with Clarion components.

Maybe it will be shown at the Tokyo Auto Salon in 2 month?

Or even the 1.6T 6MT from the global (except NA) Levorg

They are not touching the BRZ because it’s coming up to the end of it’s lifecycle. Regrettably, there is no replacement.

I installed a set on my 11 Forester, and it really is a interesting design. The brace would flex when vertical forces are applied, ie when hitting a pothole or a speed bump, but remain taught when horizontal forces are applied, ie during corning. So you get stock ride compliance but increased cornering stiffness.

Roof top tents are really popular in Australia, where every critter on the ground will try to kill ya.

Subaru actually have a 1.6 Turbo 6MT that they stuff into the base Levorg. The engine passes emissions in the EU, so passing NA emissions should be too big of an issue. Not sure why they don’t offer that engine in NA? Stock power is around 185hp, but a simple tune will get it over 220.

It makes perfect sense, it means Subaru knows it’s demographics very well, and provides models that suit it’s demographics.

Don’t forget the Jimny, the most capable offroader in the Asian jungle. The car is bulletproof!

The biggest difference between the WRX EJ255 block and the STi EJ257 block, besides the completely different heads, was the piston. EJ255s have a higher compression piston while EJ257s have a lower compression piston to allow for higher stock boost. This is in addition to the difference of the VF48 turbo in the STi

Hitachi and Kawasaki are part of the same keiretsu... so, in a way, they do?

They are all parts of the Mitsubishi Keiretsu, and are tightly integrated. They just own very small pieces of each other for Japan anti-monopoly requirements.

It’s a sweet deal, except everyone hates driving a convertible here, between the monsoon season, the typhoon season, the winter rain season, and the constant 90% humidity, you probably only get to drop that top 1 month out of the year.

The pic popped up on my Facebook page, now I’ve lost my appetite for rest of the day. Thanks much Kinja......
