In Briarbart’s defense, if you looked like this how could you NOT believe you were a member of a superior race?

There’s a dreamlike quality to how confusing the ending is. The image of the wall with the tiny children’s handprints haunted me at night long after I walked out of the theater.

I don’t know why I find that ending so creepy, but I do. And I’m glad they didn’t go with a more typical gore fest ending—part of what made it effective is its ambiguity and unexpectedness.
