Miami Vice killed off Don Johnson’s partner, Jimmy Smits, in their first episode.
And it’s not like Playstation Vue didn’t already demonstrate what a horrible marketing strategy that was.
I presume that he still has assets (home, cars, possible money still left in a bank account) in the country that can be frozen and eventually forfeited.
This movie could have easily hit on all the same points and NOT have been a horrible retcon.
Only it wasn’t. It placated them at every turn. Case in point:
“Rose, are you coming with us?”
“No, Leia says I can’t be in this movie.”
“...and then behind Sony’s back, partnered with Philips to make it instead.”
This is an urban myth. Nintendo notified Sony that without a new contract it was terminating the deal. They also publicly announced the Philips deal prior to the supposed “surprise announcement” at E3.
They had someone document all the parts inside the machine and the BIOS has been released.
It wasn’t so much turning down the prototype as it was turning down the deal. The initial deal that Nintendo signed meant that in exchange for developing the hardware, Sony would be able to market CD-ROMs for it without having to pay the licensing costs. The robots don’t care what’s in the location just as long as something is and the pickers are just told to grab an item from a particular shelf when it rolls up. They’re not looking at descriptions. It’s scan…
This is how WGA contracts work.
Again, I fixed my mistake with the century. 1912 World Series.

Please fill me in on the “funny business” of game 7 of the 2012 series.
I was aware of the Red Sox and White Sox, so the existence of the Black Sox as a team seemed to be a pretty reasonable—though mistaken—assumption at the time.
