That’s a hell of a blanket statement my man.
Unfortunately, any new project in that style would mean dealing with lawyers from Saban, Disney, Viacom, and DHX (owners of DIC Entertainment).
As someone who doesn’t need a soundtrack to my news, I don’t think I’m your target audience.
Guy won a car, made him fill out a 1099. Lady won a toaster, made her fill out a 1099. Dude lost on the Showcase, made him fill out...nah, just kidding. Nice guy, though.
Also, (while am not a CPA,) I am certain that income tax earned in a state is still owed and still enforceable even after you leave the state. If I quit my job in a state with an income tax, I'm still liable for a certain percentage of taxes owed in that state.
I didn’t say that the taxes don’t get paid at The Price Is Right (which is incidentally one of the shows I had in mind as I was typing). I said that they just have to let the IRS know what days they are taping and the IRS handles the rest. It’s much easier as a game show since you don’t have to tell the IRS on which…
It’s my understanding that the IRS didn’t know that this was going to happen and had to send them a tax bill after the fact. If they had known about it, they would have had someone there with the paperwork and the show/Pontiac probably would have handled the taxes.
The $28k wasn’t an offered option. Heck, if you win a $28k on a game show, you’ll be lucky if they offer to buy it back for even $20k.
The TV network knew. They’ve been doing game shows since the 50’s. If this didn’t get run past their legal department it would surprise the hell out of me.
And someone gets a below market Camry. Win/Win. (That’s how my aunt got her Corolla.)
Yes, I was referring to the roms of current games, the product on which Nintendo relies. And I’m not sure what you are talking about in regards to international copyright (and First Sale Doctrine) as the EU is home to about half the copyright violating sites that I can think of off the top of my head.
Got to side with the “N” on this one. They blatantly are attempting to undermine Nintendo’s revenue.
On a separate but related front, Nintendo is someday going to have to defend itself for profiting off the .nes roms since they didn’t develop the format.
This, of course, ignores the fact that they turned down the deal that Teresa May got them. It was the best deal that the UK was ever going to squeeze out of the EU (who are definitely sitting in the position of strength) because most of the UK voters are under the disillusion that Europe needs Britain more than…
I don’t see the hate. Unless you grew up there, what do you care what they do with the interior of house? I despise “reality” shows, but I found the project interesting due to its central obstacle: How do you make a real life TARDIS when the exterior of the house is smaller than the interior you wish to recreate?
Plus,…
A week and a half removed from the NRA 500.
How long did it take to beat the game that only your socks came off?
This is incredibly smart from a business and creative point of view. He just gave Microsoft the kind of advertising they have been (literally) unable to buy. Now when Sakurai approaches a company to include a character, their marketing department is more likely to give their approval.
I, too, would like to release a statement:
