I hope they get better too, but with all this time to see android widgets and the lead time to develop them for iOS, the apple ones are hardly more than larger icons with little info for a lot of them, that is really disappointing.

best widgets ever were the ones in HTC Sense, but sadly great widgets weren’t good enough to support a phone company.

On the DragonCon stream he mentioned he is currently writing it. I can’t remember if he mentioned a timeline for release, though.

He did also say he wants to write short stories from the cats’ perspectives :D

Android users didn’t get bored of widgets, developers just do a terrible job supporting the feature. And it’s always the obvious apps where a widget would be most useful, that seem to not offer any widgets at all. It still blows my mind that the app for my Ecobee thermostat doesn’t have a simple widget to quickly…

I’ve had people use them in replies to me. And it creates a red flag in my mind for future interactions with that person.
