I was thinking rabbit.
I was thinking rabbit.
Jesus, I fucking hope so.
Not *that* Shiva…
I had high hopes my life would be an epic, but it has turned out much more farce-y.
I actually don't remember that bit, but that's hilarious. Well, "hilarious"—my true self is actually echoing your sigh.
It might be that the market just isn't big enough to support many players, but it still surprises me just how much Bear McCreary gets around. Battlestar Galactica, Outlander, Human Target… And they're all good and also distinctive, with no self-plagiarism I can spot.
"The power they feel" is precisely the thing that's enjoyable; I'm honestly not sure if a self-accepted tag of "villain" ever is part and parcel of that.
Man if my skin were skin-tight it would be… Actually, *less* horrifying: I just lost a ton of weight.
Fair enough. Most things come down to selfishness rather than EEEVIL, and in your jock example maybe the dude is reconciled with being cruel for the (negative) attention it gets him. i.e., he knows he's a [small-scale] villain.
(The Daredevil water-tower reminded me a little of the one from The Animaniacs…)
Rubber bullets. Promise.
I'm sure skin-tight red silk would be horrifying IRL, but in the comics it somehow managed to be awesome to me.
But maybe they read it as "I'm awesome" rather than "I'm an asshole."
They could have gone matte (heh) rather than glossy while still keeping the all-red. It didn't even have to *look* armor-y: Melvin's fabric didn't mess with the lines of Wilson's suits.
Yeah. I loved him as a character. It was good to give Karen a moment of agency and badassery, and it was fine to shock us with anyone-can-die-anytime, but I do wish it hadn't depended on the oh-so-convenient temporary loss of his savvy.
Would the common all-red costume—which AFAIK is cloth rather than any form of armor—have really looked too goofy on TV? IMO the one we get here at the end looks a little goofy anyway, more a lateral move, while losing the iconic appeal of the red one.
I hope they are… Of Interest.
I'm starting to suspect that version two is what actually happened! :)
I've added a word or two in brackets after each episode in case you want to skip around and as explanation for the episode's inclusion. I've left out episodes that were impressive at the time but that were effectively superseded by those that came after.
