I have a friend who works at Comcast and he claims that for years the company that owned Red Box actively lobbied against getting state and federal funds to expand high speed internet to rural areas because they knew once people could stream shit their last market was dead. Apparently Family Video spend money doing

Yeah speaking as someone who doesn't own a PS5 (waiting for more game options), it's been out for the better part of two years.

Not that I own a PS5 (or Xbox X/S), but at what point do we just accept that these are current-gen consoles? Saying that they’ll come out only for next-gen consoles sounds like they are waiting for the PS6.

It is impressive how often this site keeps claiming this is a follow up to Arkham Knight. It isn’t.

no one is stopping you from liking anything. people can make jokes about whatever they want. let people like what they like bookonbob!!!

Just like the first one, this thing will make a fuckton of cash before silently slipping under the waves six months later without any cultural or societal impact whatsoever.

Just because you like something doesn’t mean you’re entitled to never encounter someone who doesn’t. That dumb “let people enjoy things” comic did more harm than good.

You got it, chief!

The faulty assumption here is that account freeloaders are actually potential subs in the first place.

Maybe not in other industries, but considering all streaming services have the same built-in problem, it hardly seems like closing one window is going to do much good. Most people I know pay for one or two services, and trade those out to others for access to a few more.

Fuck growth. WHy can’t we just have a good company that makes a good product and isn’t always trying to “GrOw!”??

A lot of my issues with celebrity Scientologists is that they seem delusional compared to other religious celebrities. Like when evidence came about about the Roman Catholic Church we didn’t hear Stephen Colbert act like these allegations are ludicrous. It is perfectly possible that the Church of Scientology is a safe

Because she wants to hide the fact that she’s in an extremist cult from people who don’t know it.

She adds, “It’s not really a closed-off religion. It’s a place that is very open to, like, welcoming in somebody who wants to learn more about it. I think that’s the thing that is probably the most misunderstood.”

As a southerner steeped in the tradition of drawled backhanded compliments and innocently polite insults, I salute your cruel and savage agreement.

You don’t even know what he’s accused of yet, and already you’re just so angry that anyone would dare to get him in trouble.

Haven’t there been enough stories already?

Can’t wait!

I bet we get plenty of them after this takes him down a peg.

Pascal seems to mirror Timothy Olyphant, in that he’s a huge goof that nevertheless plays a lot of fairly serious characters, nearly to the point of typecasting. Both of them are probably funnier than most currently working comic actors.
