I don’t want the idea of redoing Hollywood classics becomes a thing

Counterpoint: More big budget musicals.

I don’t see any reason that Robert Wise should be the only director who ever gets a shot at adapting West Side Story.

I just can’t imagine being so against the idea of Spielberg remaking West Side Story that your ears and totally closed to the chorus of praise ringing out.

I can’t ignore the universal praise.

It’s interesting to see how many people are down on the entire concept of a remake of West Side Story considering how inherent adaption is to the stage musical. It sounds like Spielberg succeeded in finding a reason for the production to exist, which is exciting.

Sometimes controversial means “I, the writer, have a beef with this, but with a eyebrow raising word choice, can make it seem like this opinion is widely held.”

How is a game with an average score of 90 with 96% above median rating out of 172 critcs reviews (source: Opencritic) and multiple awards at TGA (including GOTY) controversial? If that qualifies as such, basically anything you say about Elden Ring (and probably video games in general) can’t be taken seriously at all

Yes, the controversial GOTY Awarded, critically and commercially successful game, Sekiro.

Calling Sekiro, a game that received near universal praise, “controversial” is disingenuous to say the least.

I like it! Also I say just straight up give all the roles to cast of Sunny.

I only care about Luigi. This should be a Luigi movie and it should be some sort of tragic comedy. In fact, I’d love it if it’s almost like Succession; successful and cold Mario, distant and icy Peach and poor Luigi, just constantly the target of their R-Rated jabs.

It still had by far the strongest commentary on Trump compared to most mainstream comedy shows. And Amazon. And China.

I can like Mr Hankey, Chocolate Salty Balls and Mecha-Streisand, and not like climate change denial.

Maybe it's buried under all the other video ads? All Kinja sites are increasingly unusable.

The way the first TK forced that Baskin/Exotic comparison was beyond baffling. There is a sequence there is still burned to my mind where they were pretty explicitly implying that the people who work at Baskin’s sanctuary are just as much cult members as what Exotic and Doc were doing, which was a mind-blowing thing

I hundred percent believe he was killed...

Let’s face it, you’d have to sharpen Occam’s Razor to the point it could dissect a molecule for “Fed to tigers by spouse” to be the simplest explanation for the man’s death.

Also tigers couldn’t eat every part of him and it would take days for them to get through what they could. Tiger King works on a “both sides” mentality where Carole must be as bad as the other characters for drama, thus profit. When in reality she’s just someone who loves animals and wants to rescue them. Oddly enough

I don’t know why anybody keeps pushing the “Carol killed Don and fed him to the cats to dispose of the body” thing. Just going by what was presented in the first series, Don was a terrible pilot who didn’t keep his plane in good repair, frequently flew to central America to meet with drug dealers, and didn’t bother
