Great question! The main thing for me are the minor, small differences that add up to something great: the dedicated function keys "just work" (volume, brightness, keyboard brightness), the trackpad is incredible (haven't found a similar after just buying and returning 4 ultrabooks), the music pauses when I unplug my

Well said. Also sick of people complaining about BSOD on Windows. They have *really* stepped up their game in recent years. So has Mac. But the step up in Mac has come with some inconsistencies - I do get more freezing and app crashes. Regardless, they all work as well as they need to. Hell, even IE has gotten a lot

I tried the Hackintosh path but am also a chronic updater (um, a "1" notification on anything is HORRIBLE to me). For that reason alone, I can't recommend it. Overall, Mac (hardware) seems to be the only thing where I can have OS X, Windows, and Linux all easily available to me.

I just want to throw my two cents in as a "normal business" user. I like Windows 7 more because of Office. I have to use it and I love it (Office 2013). The Win7 Start Bar with the pinned icons is amazeballs (right click, recent items - thanks recent XLS, PPT, DOC, FML). However, I love the Mac hardware more and I

Applause goes to you, great sire of the internet.

Let's say e-mail was no longer a "free" commodity, but instead required a monthly subscription fee. Would you still use e-mail at $5/month? $1/month? $20/month?

It seems like Yahoo is stepping up their game recently. Kind of like Microsoft. I had dismissed both for quite awhile now but they have had some really neat things recently. For Yahoo, not sure how "neat" = "profitable", but hey, as long as it works for me :)

So I have a legitimate question... what is all the "wow" factor of a Raspberry Pi? I looked in to getting one, but realized I could just use an old phone to do most of it (wi-fi only - stream music, play games, SD storage)... I'm pretty sure I'm missing some of the appeal...

Thank you so much for guiding me to XtraFinder! One click access to Folders before Files, as well as a multitude of other great enhancements! Wow! thanks!

I actually uninstalled this today after using it for a month or so. Fast Charging misled my iPhone to think it was fully charged and then after about 10 minutes of usage would drop about 20%.

Doesn't Brandon mean 10,000 possibilities (10^4 = 10,000)?

It's called lolspeak. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lolcat

I can haz tether-ring?

Some people may get hot blooded being called a foreigner, but you are probably cold as ice. I'm sure you are a regular juke box hero though who just wants to know what love is. Anyway, that was yesterday. (game on.)

Well this is awkward as I just closed my account with them 1 minute ago... FWIW, great service, just didn't really ever use it. I actually used my last "task" to have them call my buddy and say they were my personal assistant and then hang up.

Completely agree with this analysis. I kept trying to love Evernote but I was using it primarily as note taking (meeting notes at work, research notes for work and school, and class notes while I am in my MBA program). OneNote far beats Evernote for that. Also, if you use a shortcut you can easily tag lines as "To Do"

As the others stated as well, it is the Benning Deluxe Messenger in Anthracite. Check e-bay - I got mine for about $180 instead of $275. Only minor complaint is it could be a tad bigger - but I'm a bit of a minimalist. Also - no laptop protection but there is a pocket inside that holds my 13" MBA quite well.

It took me a long time, but I finally settled on this specific Tumi, which I FREAKING LOVE. Enough pockets laid out perfectly in enough ways. I. Love. This. Manpurse. I mean Manbag. I mean Satchel. Indiana Jones has one.
