I like racing in the dark with headlights... I have seen 24 hours of Le Mans... The dark adds something cool... but the FINISH should be in daylight where you can see the crazy shit that goes on as drivers are scrambling to pass Just One More Car.

What moron scheduled the start of the race so that it would finish under darkness on a track without lights? Looked like good racing there at the end, but I couldn't tell what the heck was going on because it was DARK! It's the "12 hours of Sebring" - you know what time it's going to end within a minute or two, and

Somebody want to post some of the deltawing pics in this thread for those of us who have FB blocked at work?

I think the police outline them in paint...

Interesting dynamic on this story - people want to bash Matt, bash TeamSalamone... Hey - he *is* the most stereotypical Lamborghini owner... evidently he's also cool with who he is, and doesn't seem to be a complete ass. Fine - glad you wrote your counterpoint, TeamSalamone, and glad that Ray published it. I don't

... for those interested in how the hell that car hasn't fallen off the cliff - view from the opposite angle

Never had a problem going into Canada (Ontario - drinking age was lower on the other side of the border at the time), but after the second time they pried the panels off of my 1988 Hyundai Excel coming back into the US I made someone else drive...

12(a) seems reasonable upon first reading... I can only assume that the MB exec was not carrying his passport (§12(d)(5) states that it would be valid ID). One would think that the officer would have allowed him to go get the passport to prove ID and entry before arresting him, however...

Holy crap that's hard to read. The first paragraph takes up an entire page. Will take a bit for me to read through it (42 pages pasted into Word...). Thanks for the link, though - I do prefer to look at the primary source when it's available.

Happened in NYC after 9/11 for months. Checkpoints on the roads and sidewalks in Manhattan manned by automatic weapon-armed troops in combat uniform. It has happened here, and will again - no need to go to S Korea

Never underestimate the stupidity of elected officials...

...I don't fly anymore unless I can't avoid it. Driving is faster and more fun, and less of a pain.

...and now I see that my employer is a major sponsor... Odd that there hasn't been lots of internal crowing about the car.

6th gear .... OK, I normally hate the political BS on a car blog... but I have to say - growing up in the Cold War, one of the things that was constantly brought up as one of the differences between us and those damn rooskies was that we didn't have to carry our papers around at all time, and could freely travel

Actually - the 30psi that you're reading is gage pressure (psig), i.e. 0 psi on the gauge is equal to atmospheric (~15 psi absolute), so 30 psig = 45 psia —> 3X volume of air

I agree - the market is not going to be huge... I also wouldn't get the first model year of any new design either. Learned that lesson with my RX-8. Wait until they get the bugs worked out, add the turbo, make it better.

easily fixed with something similar to these...

I was looking for a shot of that! My dad had one years ago, and I loved it - there was a spinny fan thing for the turbo as well, IIRC...

Wow. three out of ten (torque wrenches, good jackstands, storage). I need to step up my game. I have had need for every one of those save the fire extinguisher over the last few years (knock on wood)... perhaps soon...

Backing up is definitely a lost art... and I can't exactly blame the high trunk lines (although my RX-8 could *really* use a backup camera). I have friends who can back up a truck with a trailer and put it exactly where they want it first try. I am hopeless backing up a trailer. Completely hopeless. ...then again,
