I own a 6-speed manual Grand Sport. The C7 is ugly but you can get a manual in it.  The C8 doesn’t look anything like a Corvette and doesn’t come with a manual.  I would buy a C7 with a manual over a C8 any day of the week.  GM can shove the C8 up its ass.

The appeal of the Corvette is supercar performance for a fraction of the cost.  If the base C8 is more than $50K, GM won’t sell many of them.  Add the fact that the C8 does not look like a Corvette.  Personally, I don’t like the C8.
