Even in bad movies, Ethan Hawke is ALWAYS watchable.

It's because the guy brings 100% to every role he's in, and I think audiences recognize and appreciate that.

For my money, Stanley Tucci brings his A-game to everything!

I loved High-Rise! I loved the book too and thought the movie really brought it to the screen well.

Got a chance to see this a couple of weeks back. It is very, very good.

Yes for A Serious Man!

I'd love to understand what everyone loves about that movie, but having seen it, I just can't.

Not at all. They take a lot of pride in allowing artistic freedom. Who else would allow David Simon to adapt a book like SHOW ME A HERO?

Exactly. I don't care who's in it. I just want it to be funny.

I just introduced my older brother to THE WIRE in the past year, and season 5 was his favorite. It was my least.

That I can't answer. But I remember an interview where they (Simon & Co) had come up with a storyline for a 6th season focusing on the increasing hispanic community of Baltimore.

I don't believe THE WIRE was cut short. I think HBO offered David Simon a 6th season, and he turned it down.

Yup. Tried it. Didn't like it.
