This is not a viable solution for the long term. If phones/tables want to be true gaming platforms they should follow the PS Phone's example and have dedicated inputs. In the case of tablets, they can slap a keyboard between the buttons and call it a day.

The reason you can't play them from day one is because of contractual obligations that Capcom has with Sony. Sony paid to have them first to hype Vita sales. Times are tough. Capcom wants that exclusivity money.
Then wait for the super-hyper-ultimate-game-of-the-year edition that will roll out 1 year after the game has been released that will include all costumes, characters and bonus content. Happens all the time for games that release DLC.
