I think what he means is: People with brains and ideas shouldn't work. Some people are just not smart or creative enough to develop a passion that ends up paying the bills too.

get a bookcae that fills an entire wall rather than having a bunch of smaller ones. That way all your miscelanwous small stuff will be out of the way on one side of the room - books cds gadgets tv stereo etc.

since some people here suggested some crazy solutions, I have one too:

the dog wakes me up at around 5, I go and put himin the other room, then sleep some more...of course I will try to make it up by snoozing :P

if you live in a big city, the Swaporamarama is where you can bring your old clothes and go through other people's stuff and pick things you like. It's 10 dollars and any size bag full of clothes you can bring with you to get you in, and you can take away as much as you can carry.

this would work so much better if it were designed for cellphone usage, returning the bathroom nearest to you via SMS.
