As an astronomer, I always find it weird how the press report on a new discovery. In this case, every article I've read misses all of the cool parts, and focuses on SPACE DIAMOND!

I TA a large "Astronomy for Poets" class, and we have been telling our students this for years. It is strange that this is suddenly news.

My high school didn't have any sports teams, so we would have pep rallies for the Academic Decathlon team. They did win the state championship every year, but still ugh. I made friends with the librarian and did my homework in the library during the assembly. It was a better use of my time.
