The books aren't flawless by any stretch of the imagination (and that's not what I was saying), but the show only manages to compound those flaws — Game of Thrones' only prominent Black woman is a former sex slave who was aged up from a child so they could stick her in a revealing outfit.

It's hardly the biggest problem with the show, but it does stand out in stark contrast to the books and proves they're not very good at adapting material.

That Game of Thrones is a show that somehow managed to accidentally include a rape scene, regularly excises, downplays, or stereotypes minority characters, and generally has no sense of nuance.

And then he beat it.

Benioff and Weiss' track record with, shall we say, sensitive material over on Game of Thrones is reason enough to worry.

I'm still waiting for someone to get the fire extinguisher.

I haven't seen it yet! Thanks to a combination of circumstances (mostly illness) I haven't seen any superhero movies since Civil War.

No, no, the private dick who's a sex machine to all the chicks.

Shaft?

Not skeevy enough.

You wouldn't be able to finish the marathon in time to start again if you did.

I was wondering if something was going on. But yeah, I've seen a couple comments that used That Particular Acronym behind the "this comment is awaiting moderation" wall today (and none of them in a positive way).

Hi!

Very carefully.

As a trusted news personality, I can be useful in rounding up others to toil in your underground sugar caves.

And the wonderful telephone system.

Good, I love Mantis. Now if only we could get Moondragon to show up.

Wait, when did that happen? There are like three Wolverine solo movies I haven't seen/don't remember.

Four, because the Guardians are going to be in Infinity War and they have Gamora.

A couple of them haven't been — the ones with Thanos, the one revealing Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, the one with Bucky checking out his Smithsonian exhibit, etc.
