I think it’s realistic because Josh has his own issues. He had never felt valued and worth anything until Rebecca told him she believed in him. If he had a healthier self-image when she came along I might agree with you.

I’m glad that Herzog is able to say that his experience was a net positive, but it seems like they helped him because that was the carrot they dangled to get him to come on in the first place (and presumably $) after they exploited him first for ratings.

True, although a) he might still think his plan was better and b) fair or not, following orders while being at least partly in the dark is part of his job.

But if no one follows the rules what are you really going to accomplish?
