Maybe we saw different episodes. 😛 In any case, All in the Family made me laugh. Last Man Standing is like The Big Bang Theory: I just stare at the TV wondering why it’s supposed to be funny.

The similarities are superficial. I watched some of LMS (yes, I do hate myself) and unlike Archie, Mike is, in the eyes of the show, the one who knows better than everyone else, as opposed to just thinking that he is. You’re not supposed to laugh at him, you’re supposed to agree.

How dare this guy compare his dumbass show to the glorious All in the Family! Especially since he doesn’t get it. Archie didn’t push boundaries, he was a bigot and the show was very clear about that. Ugh, I still can’t believe they canceled it. It was good, it was original, the chemistry between the characters was great... I wonder if they thought it would become too repetitive or if it was just a ratings thing.
