I’m definitely a bit biased here, but I’m crossing my fingers that all these GotY awards for God of War will bring back the “semi-open” game. A nice balance of open-world with gated areas has always been my favorite.

If it’s a serious question: Craftsmanship is not all that matters. The review itself lays out why I think the film, which is quite good, falls short of the A range.

Same here. There was a lot of speculation leading up to the release as to what the dopplegangers represented, so I watched a lot of the film trying to see the sub-text. And there were points when I said, “Oh, I get it, they represent X”, only to have that undercut by something later in the film.

According to my random song generator, this song will be featured in Fiona Apple’s upcoming album:

Most people I know have caps on their broadband. This google service is ignoring the terrible, TERRIBLE broadband availability in the US.

Gigabit fiber lines are $100+ per month in Canada, thanks to the monopolistic situation we have over here. I previously had 300mbps, and while movie streaming and downloads never had a problem, most gaming over streaming I tried (mostly through the Nvidia gamestream service) was bordering on the barely ok with

I did try out Project Stream. Played AC:O on it for around 20 hours. I have a 250 Mbps connection at my home and was hard wired. Still not nearly the experience of what I got once Ubisoft gave everyone who participated a copy of AC:O. Of all the issues I had, the graininess/fuzziness of the image was the largest

Welcome to PC gaming buddy. Its 90% download only and been this way for years. Most PC gamers don’t give a shit about used/lending games.

I get the faintest feeling that their road map to success for this was firmly rooted in Fortnite-esque games. SUPER massive appeal, F2P, competitive yet loose enough to downplay latency issues.

I give it two years of being basically underused and forgotten before they shut it down unceremoniously, as is the Google way.

Nothing went wrong, I just developed good taste at some point. I prefer Point Break for my Swayze action schlock, thank you.

Based on this article, I’ll pass. Also based on Road House sucks. Thanks for the recommendation, though.

This complaint is not unique to Netflix or even algorithmic content creation in general. It is the main critique of art made in service of capitalism and always has been. We are fed more of the same thing that we threw money at. Always has been the case, always will be under capitalism. It’s not like there are any

I get it. There’s not much I like to do more than watching birds, if you know what I mean.

Did you mean Al Bundy?

You should.

You motherfucker, take your star and die!

Goddamn, man. This being Deadspin, I want to make a joke...but I just can’t; nothing about child abuse is humerus.

Is this because the Muslim-owned deli near you doesn’t sell TOMATOES?

Manifestos are as much about convincing the writer as they are others. Him starting out by reassuring everyone he’s just a normal average guy, is similar to Trump saying he’s an expert so trust him.
