I skimmed that pretty quickly, but it looks like they’re not breaking any laws and haven’t been prosecuted or arrested, to which I say “okay.” I’m not sure what that has to do with this, other than that you think it will expose some hypocrisy on my part, though for the life of me I can’t imagine what.

I’m not saying “let them off the hook, their own stupidity is punishment enough.” I’m saying “don’t escalate a confrontation with a bunch of armed imbeciles who have placed themselves far enough away from normal people that they pose no physical threat.” These idiots are already asking for food and water. They’re

They are not the audience. The rest of the country is the audience. These men are a great example of what makes a lot of this whole movement literally ridiculous, as in “inspiring laughter.” They’ve seized an unmanned building in a little-known nature preserve and are holding it against non-existent forces to fight

Where in that sequence of events did they endanger human life? The building was empty. There were no humans there to endanger. Are they “endangering human life” by announcing that they won’t leave a place they have no right to be?

I’d say it’s a stretch that squatting in an unoccupied government building in the middle of nowhere is an act “dangerous to human life.” Stop trying to newspeak this into terrorism. For the life of me I can’t figure out why my compatriots on the left are so intent on joining the right in perverting language and

Oh my god, 292 square miles of Oregon? That’s nearly 0.3% of the area of the state! The federal government is crowding ranchers right out of the dang range with that kind of sprawling seizure of, uh, apparently mostly freshwater marsh. Jesus it’s like performance art at this point.

The solution to disproportionate responses by the government to persons of color is not to call for disproportionate responses by the government to white people. It’s to stop disproportionate responses against persons of color.

This is 100% truth. The idea that the long boring stretch that makes up the middle 60% of Moby Dick is more tolerable than anything in ASoIaF is refuted by the fact that people only read one of them without being forced to.

No, that’s a kibipound.

You realize that scene is wildly inaccurate? A 76mm armed Sherman would easily penetrate a Tiger I at that distance.

Go Fisher of Men more likely, or some other Bibletales branded nonsense.

I should probably just walk away, but how is “don’t buy a home” full stop not terrible advice? Check out the calculator I linked: it’s literally mathematically provable that you do better owning than renting given certain rates, prices and tenors. Telling people not to buy a home, ever, is just about the worst

I’m sorry, but this is incoherent. “Pay yourself first” is literally just a dumbed down way of saying “making saving money a priority.”

Okay, check back in forty years. I can tell you that in the short-term, as in the last 7 years or so, incurring debt has worked out great for me. I incurred six figures of debt to go to professional school (having done undergrad debt free with jobs and a full scholarship), and I am close to paying it off completely.

This is just wrong. Debt is an essential element of any modern economy. No one is socking away $15,000 for school working a summer job, and I’m not even sure that could pay for school. Tuition maybe, but you have to live, eat, clothe yourself, buy books, transport yourself from place to place.

NO, IT’S A LOT MORE LIKE POSTING HARDCORE PORNOGRAPHY ON WEBSITES THAT PEOPLE READ AT WORK OR SENDING DICK PICS TO STRANGERS. WRITING IN ALL CAPS IS MORE LIKE HAVING A BUMPERSTICKER—IT MEANS YOU’RE PROBABLY OLD, IT’S UGLY AND SOMETIMES IT CAN BE FUNNY, BUT IT’S GENERALLY HARMLESS.

Customer engines? Custom engines?

I bet that as an NBA player, that line worked with cops before.

Deeply disappointed. No mention of what kind of Cadillac. Is this a mid aughts Escalade? A 5th gen Coupe De Ville (unlikely at that speed, I know, but I assume he was going as fast as possible)? A late ‘90s Fleetwood? Going that fast, but at the same time that slow, I feel like it’s got to be something out of the

So, overwrought, hyperbolic, ostentatious throwbacks to previous design tropes intended to evoke a glorious past wrapped around its best attempt at a performance vehicle. In other words, BMW has decided to borrow Ford and GM’s style-guide for pony cars circa 2005/2006.
