It depends, but as a woman with negative blood - you need to make sure you get the RhoGAM shot every time you are aware of a pregnancy, even if it's a miscarriage or an abortion. Rh disease should not occur in an initial Rh positive pregnancy - but it will in in latter pregnancies.

They are wrong, a full blood transfusion cannot change your blood type... chances are you mom just misunderstood what they doctors told her. Changes in blood types are usually a result of bone marrow transplants, autoimmune diseases or very rarely infections.

If it comes up googling their names, it can haunt them 10 years down the line... if not, they should be fine.

It all depends on the person's views I suppose?

I'm not really surprised these got out, our culture seems pretty fascinated by celebrity and also death. Just look at how far spread some terrible accident pictures (like that poor girl in California that crashed her father's porsche a few years back... can't remember her name)... it's sick, troubling, whatever... but

This is right, she doesn't have to reside in the district she runs in or maintain a residence there... but it often hurts them unless they're extremely popular.

Agreed! Totally sympathetic... I mean, to the best of my remembrance, Dubya was popular... but Rick Perry, not so much! At least his campaign went no where and provided lots of laughs. Your welcome, America!

Everyone always tells me my parents eloped, their engagement was secret from the family and most of their friends... they only invited two as witnesses - but my mom had a wedding dress, get got married in a church, etc... I think part of it is the "on a whim" but it's also a bit of the secretive issue.

Ahhh, yeah, FW would of been my second guess. (Urban) Dallas, San Antonio and Austin aren't nearly as bad.

Random, are you in Houston? I had one friend that had a sort of similar experience from around there.

If I recall, at first, didn't Angelina Jolie say her relationship didn't begin on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith - at least beyond friendship? I wasn't aware they ever really reneged on that... but, I could be totally mistaken.

Thanks for naming my next meaningless music-related project :D haha

Totally agreed, although I do kind of like that some people view me as an evil puppet master of sorts. I haven't encountered too many labs that sit on data unless they just don't know what to do with it, but I swear... people thinking we're hiding the cure to everything.

There's arguing about inconsistencies and then there's outright denial... you can find plenty that deny things pretty vehemently.

Related, I'm trying to trace and identify novel mechanisms of RNA-based regulation for secondary metabolite clusters in bacteria... which involves a pretty large degree of dependence on evolutionary studies. Really, when you begin working on any issue that involves entire clades of organisms, you're totally dependent

The thing is, there are real scientists that support (in some way) his world view that he can cling onto... they're few and far between, but they exist. Especially on the matter of global warming, there are some who are more reserved about making conclusions based on available data.

I grew up in Texas... and maybe it's because I always have lived in urban and highly educated areas... I've never once gotten any sort of flack for being an atheist aside from the crazies that would randomly talk in the "free speech" areas on my undergraduate campus... so, I'm not really sure stories like these are

Honestly, are you surprised? I've known very few conservatives that will say they're against sciences - just that they have a "problem" with the scientific machine as it is and under supervision of those currently controlling it. I'm a doctoral student in an evolution related field, and in my "debates" with people

Exactly, this isn't crazy talk... this is what some people truly believe. They view most scientists as dishonest elitists completely detached from reality. There are some "good ones" out there (usually this group is in love with Behe)... but the rest of us? liberal scum.

Is this surprising? he's playing to the crowd he wants to get votes from... haven't you heard the tales of how the liberal scientific community is trying to control society by hiding information, releasing falsified reports, etc... to support their world views?
