It blows my mind that anyone can compare the two. A seven year old is not thinking about their body or anyone else’s in a sexual way. BUT HAS ANYONE EVER MET A 14 YEAR OLD BOY??
This is incredibly well written and well thought out. I’m sorry that your name pops up with such a terrible association, that must hurt but seriously great job on this piece.
Yes. Bedding and towels need hot for bug murder. Also outdoor clothes that may carry ticks.
You really seem obsessed with criticizing people for using driers, implying that the use of a drier negates the energy savings of washing in cold water. Switching from hot/warm water to cold in the wash doesn’t mean that the person suddenly starts using a drier when they did not do so before.
They’ve still saved energy compared to hot wash plus dryer though.
You’re really anti-dryer here, and I get that, but when everything is wet and the house is wet and the outside is wet and the sky is wet and your clothes start smelling of damp before they actually dry, or you end up wearing damp clothes because you have to... then the option of occasional dryer use is extremely…
Hot water won’t kill bedbugs. It does kill mites.
You seem to be assuming that everyone has electric hot water? At least in the Northeast, most people don’t, I think.
Once they’re established, yes. But the way to stop them getting established is to wash your bedding in hot water.
Just going to throw this out there—you’re clearly a man if you’ve never had to wash blood out of clothes. :P
Sixty degrees for your bedding, to kill the bedbugs. Little bastards are coming back in a big way, and I’m not sure it’s a coincidence that hotel chains as well as individual households are washing their laundry cooler.
$60 in savings over 300 loads in a year? Do people do 300 loads a year? I don’t think I do 300 loads in a decade, let alone a year. That seems like a lot.
Next thing you’ll be telling us to take cold showers with no soap.
Dismissing the way that a specific group (as well as the culture it exists in) normalizes and promotes gender-based discrimination and violence seems like willful ignorance to me.
Disagree. She consented. He consented. The people around her did not consent to help those two people get off. The very fact that they’re in public tells you that it’s the public gratification they’re getting off on. And that’s not okay.
As a kinky person who’s been on precisely that end of a collar and leash, fuck off. That’s rude. Don’t do that in public. It may be consensual on her part, but this is not any different structurally than some dude jerking off on the subway—they’re getting off on the presence of innocent bystanders who have NOT…
Nope. This is Gamergate perfectly encapsulated.
Because a powerful woman in control of her own destiny is more terrifying to the establishment than a gay man in control of his own destiny.
Clover Hope is black tho?
