Reading the comments on the Washington post article I though I should share this one by somebody who was interviewed for the article.

The funny thing about it is that pretty much every review that is killing this (which is just about all of them) is saying the exact same thing: the movie has no idea what to do with them once they do get their powers, as if to say “...now what?”.
