I don’t see how it’s creepy at all. I grew up in a black community- we showed respect by adding a title to someone’s name, even if it was Mizz. If they told us their 1st name you’d call them Mr or Ms firstname.

It’s considered to be very impolite for a child to call an adult by his or her first name in the South, at least where I’m from. *shrugs*
Yes, Bristol, you’re absolutely right. The police who dragged a 14-year-old out of school in handcuffs for building a science project and subjected him to hours of racist interrogation without allowing him access to a lawyer or his parents are the real victims here. The police and white people everywhere. Can’t put…
*The white Texans.
Snarky Obama is best Obama.
“Ben Carson: proof positive that a person can be very intelligent and dumb as a fucking rock all at the same time.”
I love this Barack 2.0, that was an exquisite burn
Matt Damon interrupted a black woman to lecture her on diversity. Trevor Noah was asked a pointed question by Newsweek about something he has absolutely no control over and answered it as best he could without pissing off his new employers. They are not even remotely similar situations.
Stewart is his own legacy. The Daily Show existed before him and is continuing to exist after him.
It’s called lighting.
I’m noticing that Jezebel is trying to make Trevor Noah the next person to “hate” and I’m not into it. Dude didn’t say there was equal rights in Hollywood. He acknowledged that women comedians are getting shit done right now. He addressed that in HIS interview. A space where he could have talked about anything else,…
Attention all news outlets:
“I’m more into stealing from black musicians from the 30’s”
Jezebel has a huge race problem. I know a lot of the commenters here are very smug in their feminism and progressiveness, but I don’t see much of a difference between some of you and the commenters on Fox News. And I can at least excuse some of the Fox News people on the grounds that they’re uneducated and don’t know…
Spoiler Alert - she already picked Fitz.
Meh. Team Fitz.
If she is indeed biracial, she sure identifies as Black, according to her. Which makes sense, because look at her. I don’t think people are overlooking her white mother. It’s just not so relevant here. People aren’t generally like, hey, this obviously Black person now gets a pass because I just met her white mother.…
Not racially ambiguous. Not dark, for sure, but no one who has ever seen Black people before wouldn’t know that she is Black.
