for a white person, she’s very inarticulate.

Boom. You’ve nailed the whole movement in a simple, gallows-humored sentence. Well done.

“They are still stunned that this is how it has all gone down,”

It’s almost like there’s a reason regulations needed to be set!

I'm always shocked when unfettered capitalism turns out to be exploitive. Shocked I tell you, simply shocked.

Well, more like three. One for the wealthy (and mostly white) upperclass. One for the white people with distinct class differences and then one for the vast majority of People of Color.

The whole point of the protest being aimed at white progressives at this point is to point out that white people aren’t entitled to ANYTHING from black people. Why is it so fucking difficult for white people to understand how condescending it is to think their ostensibly progressive politics inures them from issues of

This is a pretty typical whiney, white liberal response. The history of progressive politics is filled with dissenting allies, it’s what makes the left stronger than the right: we can stand to hear a little constructive criticism. Think of Victoria Woodhull and Karl Marx.

“[Bernie] might be the easiest [target] because he’s somebody who’s dealing with the people more directly than a Jeb Bush or a Hillary Clinton.”

I was kinda more pissed at the White liberals who immediately denounced the entire moment and basically “stay in your line”-d black people. Bernie Sanders hired a woman called Symone Sanders two weeks before the event - a black woman - and made racial equality a part of his main platform.

My sisters theater in Minnesota posted armed guards for the screening. My other sister in DC had to have her purse searched before going in, both things that have never happened at their theaters. Universal has already announced they’ll be reimbursing theaters for beefing up security for this movie, despite the fact

Let’s be real, they did not hire extra security because of theater shootings. They hired extra security because they expected high turn outs of African Americans to a movie they thought would get us riled up in this time of unrest. Which is fucked up because we’re not the ones shooting up theaters. It's connected more

This might have happened to me once. Maybe.

The government is an extension of the populace. America doesn’t care much for black people.

The point is to get issues addressed. You approach the person who will address them. You clearly are not interested in getting the issue addressed since you insist on suggesting things that you know will fail.

How long ago was that? We’re talking about problems going on NOW. You think you can just sit back on your laurels and never ever be called on to discuss things important to Black people ever again?
