A couple of years back, the 404 page on Peugeot’s website was a picture of a 404.

The headunit is a generic Chinese unit running Android. Its got a few rough edges, notably it hiccups occasionally on MP3 playback. I think its a software issue so hopefully the next OS update will fix that. The rest of the functions seem to work OK. There are LOTS of 7" touchscreen units to choose from.

It’s a 2010 with 208,xxx miles and counting. It’s been great and I love it, but all good things... etc. And I don’t need as much room going forward. I’ll probably keep it until it blows up, but it’s about time for something newer..

Why replace it? The 5 should be roomier than a hatchback and sliding doors >>>hinged ones.

Hatchback? That’s a Crosstour on a diet. Honda needs to grow some balls and make a real Civic hatch.

I’m liking the dash that hides the vents behind that honeycomb mesh. Also a little disappointed the center exhaust didn’t make it to this version. The fake exhaust surrounds are a 👎.

Buick did that, and it did not work.

Torch: Home made fixes are not a bright idea.

And you get a Free Magnet

One problem is the curvature of the windshield. For the systems where the driver’s blade is rotated from the edge of the window and the passenger pivots more to the middle, the driver’s blade is usually stowed against the relatively flat center section while the passenger side reaches off the high curvature edge. This

I’ve been in auto parts since the 80's, and actually up until about 20 years ago it was typical for both wipers to be the same size. Once the windshields got so big, the wiper blades grew in size too. 16 and 18 inchers were most common in the Malaise era; when we got to 28's things got crazy. Having a different size

My 99 and 02 Silverado’s both used identical size as well. My Cruze however is lopsided

The opposed wipers on my Ford Fusion are direct drive stepper motors.

A few remarks

as a toupee maker once said, it’s what’s on top that counts

I cant even save enough to take a 3 week vacation, let alone a 3 year one... even at my cushy engineering job... I guess its partially because i buy stupid vehicles more often than i buy underwear, but i digress.

i don’t have questions, just advice. get window socks with magnets for hot nights. make sure you have AC power sorted for computers and whatnot (or get a dc powered adapter). You can by that cheap reflectix stuff from home depot and cut to window shapes to keep out heat and prying eyes. recommend. get a trash solution

I think I see a vent tube in the lead picture. Certainly any 12V battery effectively mounted inside the cabin needs to vent to the exterior.
