Back in the day yo...
I like the look man. Kudos.
You see a bear, you know what you are getting. You see a “nice” guy, that is a dice roll.
My first car, purchased new while I was in grad school was a 1988 Ford Escort GT. It had an issue where when it was extremely cold (Iowa) it would at times buck and jerk violently at highway speeds. It was never a consistent thing and was never an issue in city driving. Ultimately, the dealer attributed the issue to…
I bought a cheap example (salvage title) E30 from a friend. Not sure how much love salvage title vehicles get overall, but I do love it. Primarily a weekend car with occasional/infrequent track use. It’s been fine and I get to express what I want in a car the way I want to. It’s not so nice that I’m afraid of driving…
NC? Yes...
Indeed. As much as my E30 could use a nice, new paint job, I don’t want it to be so nice that I spend more time keeping it clean than driving it.

Re: the hood: Clean, polish and revisit later.. Headlights.. same thing
I finally saw a Hummer EV on the road. You know how everyone will say a vehicle is huge but it’s not really as big as they make it out to be?
This is my favorite:
Another option is to try increasing the brightness of your dashboard lights. That should cause your pupils to constrict, which should somewhat improve your night vision.
Surprised the BMW X7 isn’t on this list
I was just punished for a week by having to drive a Nissan Versa (rental). Even it has blind spot monitoring AND lane departure warning. What a world in which we live now.
I completely forgot to shout out the other guy I work with. I guess I’m lucky to know TWO good, honest mechanics. Blake, mentioned previously handles my daily driver. But I completely forgot to mention the guy who works on my E30, Ryan Sterenczak of Backyard Bavarian in Lewisville, NC. The real deal.
For me, honesty and efficiency is what I look for. Big shout out to Blake Harris, owner/operator of After 7 Garage in Raleigh, NC. Just a really good dude.
Same here.
Nicely done.
Don’t tempt Tavarish...
