Indeed. This was back in the day when the Dip still existed. I remember my instructor tensing up everytime we started going down the hill to Turn 12..LOL

Oh no doubt! Mine was replaced by a first Gen CRX-Si so it was older than the Escort and MUCH better at pretty much everything. That CRX eventually became my race car. When the Mazda based Escort GT came out, it made the American version obsolete in every respect!
For me this is an “It depends” kind of thing. I had one just like this in white. It wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad, especially in street/highway use. For track use is where things went downhill, but again, some of the issues could be addressed, such as suspension. My first ever track event (HPDE) was at Road Atlanta…
Came here for this and I am satisfied. As far as fuel efficiency, “it depends..” I don’t think 25-27mpgs is all that bad for this. That’s what I get consistently from my 2010
Right on the money with this one, Elizabeth. 100%.
At least you’re honest about why you like the Alfas. Kudos to you, Sir.
TBH, NC has tried and failed in the past to attract established auto manufacturing in the past (rail as well). I wouldn’t go so far to say that Cooper (Governor) is “anxious to cut a ribbon” as mentioned, but I do think NC did need something that wasn’t a traditional “high tech” company. We’re getting a bunch of tech…
Okay Lawrence. You’re invited to the cookout..LOL
First wrenching job was an oil change on my first ever car (1988 Escort GT).
More races to come...
North Carolina: Speed Matching, Tailgating. Left Lane Chillin’ is the primary but basically, ANYTHING goes, especially as more people move to the state..
That should be pretty damn cool.
What F1 car travels at 250mph on a race track for which it was designed (in other words tracks with corners)? Bonneville and Jenson Button don’t count..
I had a short-throw kit installed right at Christmas last year. What a difference! ‘90 325iS
Interesting. My DD (2010 Mazda 5) has a timing chain. 229,xxx miles and counting and no issues. I’m gonna drive it till it something blows up. Time for new brakes and upgraded brake lines for that. I love that damn car.
Time for timing belt change!! Had to put in a new fuel pump a couple weeks ago and now the alternator is squeaking.. While I do wrench on my vehicles, timing belt and alternator on this car is not one that I will attempt! Dropping it off at a shop in a few days.
Glad y’all are back. I’m here enjoying e30 ownership, with all the rights, honors, privilege and pain bestowed upon such ownership, as well as planning to how extend the life of my daily driver.
That’s JoCo Life. This dude just happened to get caught. “Personal ties” run long and deep down here..
APPROVED Use
What in the world??? But hey! Congrats on the move and be well!
