To be honest, as a long time Nintendo fan, I think the Paper Mario series is just mediocre. If they stopped releasing them I’d be happy.

I trust you on that (although I read everything, but a lot of things are really unclear/underexplained). Not that it doesn’t feel like cheap trick to explain plot holes years later. Like the whole “the 1st king erased mankind’s memories”. This just feels cheap.

The manga is 1 chapter / month, but it’s usually a long one. I guess it’s around 2 books / year.

You’re right, it’s how I feel too. You just made me realize they want it to become a shonen because it makes more money. No important character, villain or good, dies anymore. The story stalls.
