Wait, wasnt there just a buncn of articles about how that score was a rehash from another film? Please hold.

Wise Up wasnt on another album, she wrote it prior to the film and it was the inspiration for Paul to actually write Magnolia. They went back and forth after, she writing songs and he writing the film from the inspiration she gave and she the same. Its a great lesson in collaboration that yeah sucked because of a

No it's not. I appeared in a documentary tnat ran for a week online via the Tribecca Film Fest for a week and did its Oscar qualifying run after and True Son still qualified. Not that it made the final cut but why would online viewing be different than VOD? Thats just stupid of the Academy. Err

Debbie Allen choreographed, the performer was the late great Nell Carter. And this was following the Rob Lowe Snow White fiasco when stars had stopped performing on the sbow. Nell killed it and earned a deserving standing O. It wasn't till Queen Latifah and Catherine Zeta performed for Chicago that big star non

Piper Laurie? Yes!

Kind of wish I hadn't read this. She doesn't come off as the cool and hip actress I envisioned she'd be. Beyonce? Sarah McClaughlin? Sigh….

Reverend!!!

Ohhhh….one of my favorite lines in a film. Has me laughing just thinking of the scene.

Don't be talking 'bout Josie! Don't be talking 'bout Josie!

Thanks for the recommendation. It's streaming on Netflix so I watched it today and my lord is it an emotional journey. While it dragged in the middle and the Canadian actor who plays a character's spouse could well be the worse actor in a film EVER, the film was very effective.

She also gave up and walked away from the first competition. I wish Ru had made a bigger deal over it. She gave a stank disrespectful attitude a couple times now that I think about it. Didn't she give attitude to a guest expert? Was it during the singing contest and also with one of the choreographers?
