I don't know about the series in general, but for sure people will come to realize that not all the early episodes were wall-to-wall classic sketches. But also there was some weird-and-interesting-if-not-great-per-se experimental stuff from the early days.

I await the restoration of the Sweeney Sisters, and everything else that was hacked out of the "full episodes" of SNL that were once available on Netflix. I think they chopped the Shatner hosted episode from the mid-80s down to like 26 minutes.
