Man, for a series marked by its on-the-nose dialogue, this episode might have been the nosiest. I loved the Prime Minister basically taking Charles aside and saying “DIANA AND ONLY DIANA FOILED MY PLAN TO ABOLISH THE MONARCHY, WHICH I AM DISCUSSING OPENLY WITH YOU, THE PRINCE OF WALES. YOU’RE A SNIVELING AWKWARD

Man, I don’t think the royal family has ever been as unlikable and hateful as they are in this episode. That lunch scene at the end with the Crown ladies was astonishingly cruel in its apathy and disregard towards Diana’s well-being. I actually feel like this season has been way more critical of the monarchy as a
