My thoughts exactly-- its the Disney Evil Queen palette

Uh...the new cast members were totally in sketches this week.
Yeah, the opening of Snyder’s Joker arc where Joker busts into the GCPD office and kills 19 cops without IIRC even using a gun or any poison or anything, just snapping necks and bludgeoning, I was like “Nope.” Then a core part of the story is just him hanging off the side of a submersed Batmobile or bat-sub as it went…
I think it was neat... at first. Joker as basically a slasher villain is fun because like, slashers are fun. But then it just kept going and going, and just like a slasher movie franchise, each consecutive entry gets worse and worse as the bad guy becomes more and more hilariously invincible. Snyder clearly loves…
Her face in that header photo ain’t much better!
King’s Joker at least felt more like a depressed comedian than Snyder’s demon-king-Joker. I prefer my Joker in the vein of Batman: The Animated Series, who is still sort of a murderclown but damn it, he’s having fun. Make some jokes, Joker! Japes!
That’s fair. There was one point I think during death of the family when Joker literally chopped Alfred’s hand off that I was like okay that’s too much.
I disagree. Snyder’s Joker and Batman is what got me into the comics. It’s when Tom King or Tynion try to mimic Snyder that he gets annoying.
That last line reminds me of Joker’s killing of Sarah Essen in No Man’s Land and how even he was displeased with himself about it. That one fucking moment says more about the character and the way he operates than the dozen “reexaminations” in the past decade.
Lemme know when they examine whether Batman and The Joker are actually two different faces of the same coin, kinda like that villain who’s two different faces of the same coin. Man-E-Faces.
there are different ways to use the superhero genre and comic-book medium than grimdark broodfests on a nine-panel grid.
I’m not a comics reader, but I always thought what made the Joker the toughest villain for Batman to deal with is his complete insanity.
seems like Chastain is picking up all the direct-to-video movies John Cusack was doing for a while, she’s one “international assassin” away from wearing a plain black baseball cap in everything
Hard to say because it could make up the rest in VOD. Now that they made Nolan happy it seems like they should get it over there ASAP.
It’s frustrating. I was very intrigued by The Batman. It’s the story of a rich heir who, in secrecy, wears a costume to fight criminals and psychos. Could be cool. A lot of things could happen. Maybe fights. Maybe reflections on how he’s as odd as the people he chases. Also, maybe an explanation through his childhood,…
Herman Cain said he was fine and dropped dead four weeks later.
This is the latest in a list of Netflix shows that have been killed by the pandemic after the streaming service decided that there wouldn’t be enough of an audience left to bring them back once things calm down
I want to see him on a stretcher because he loathes being seen as weak.
To be fair, Cain was still tweeting after he died, so he must be feeling pretty good.
This is as I feared, a worst case scenario. He had minor symptoms, and has learned nothing and will minimize covid even more now.
