It’s surprising how fast the yellow flag comes out considering the bike almost came through the fence at that point. Turn-workers are never appreciated enough.

As an indication of the immense power these have, watch how the tires still spin while the throttle plates are closed. If you watch a pre-stage burnout closely you’ll see how they light up the tires with the throttle plates limited to the slightest of openings.

I disagree. Taping over a warning light (or removing the bulb) is not uncommon and it’s dead simple to determine by checking that all warning lights active with the key on. Perhaps buyers aren’t aware of this but a licensed dealer would likely be held to a higher standard in court.

Perhaps, but a licensed dealer should do this as a matter of any vehicle inspection, so the onus is on them when they pass it onto a buyer.

People in the industry (and many owners) know that one of the first checks should be that all warning lights on the dash light-up when the key is on. It wouldn’t matter how far away the box floated since it should have the coordinates at the point of ejection that would lead them to the plane.

Probably one of the best “everyman’s supercars”. I was a mechanic during their heyday and ended up an “expert” on them in the Northwest, mainly because the shop I worked out had an old-style tire balancer that could get them to stop shaking at high speed. I “tested” one at 120+ and it was rock solid.

I don’t know where you traveled Lillie but I spent 2 weeks on a motorcycle in Germany, Austria, Italy, Monaco, Switzerland and San Marino and I didn’t notice many poor road conditions. BTW I work for a state department of transportation so I know a little about the subject.
