To add more to my original thought:  The reason Peninsula, in my opinion, failed, and the reason I stopped watching the Walking Dead is this.  At some point, the zombie threat becomes environment.  They become no different than giant bugs, or slow mutants, or killer bees, or just an ordinary big pack of hungry wolves.

The “take” is we both clicked the article, read its dumb content, and now we’re in the comments like a couple of dummies.

Henry Cavill has done the same, which makes me worried for Witcher when that shoe drops.

An actor playing a different character in an unrelated television series is normal. It would be weird as fuck if Ted Danson turns up in the new Frasier series and he isn’t Sam Malone, though.

Although something which might not seem significant to younger generations is that while Scorsese might be a white male, he is also an Italian-American. When people like Scorsese and Coppola started making pictures in the 1960s, they were members of a group viewed not unlike how Mexican-Americans are viewed today.

Aside from that description not matching quite a bit of his filmography, few filmmakers, or even just people on earth, have done more to elevate world cinema, films by women and people of color, etc, than Scorsese has. A shit ton of movies would just be out of circulation if not for Scorsese himself being involved in

Bill Burr in the Mandalorian has a better Imperial defector story than Finn :/

Buffy was that great though.  It’s Joss who wasn’t.

Including cheating on his wife

Fuck Angel, I’d rather hear what the Groosalugg has to say!

Boreanaz does not have a pristine track record of being a good person. Including cheating on his wife and his treatment of Nicholas Brendan (including cutting him out of the Buffy reunion photoshoot)

I don’t like it when fans “demand” that some celebrity say something or stand up for their causes. It’s creepy and weird. They don’t owe you that. Also, once you “demand” it, then it becomes performative, even if it’s how they truly feel.

I think people forget that not everyone has the same level of engagement with social media or the news and that many people’s first response to hearing distressing information about a friend or former coworker may not be to address it in a public forum.

That guy’s comment really got under my skin - he even made an allusion to using a magic wand to freeze everyone for 2 weeks. If he’s using magic, why doesn’t he just make everyone magically immune to Covid? It seems much simpler.

The replies here are largely horrific. An actress gets to decide if, when, and how she might want to appear nude and questioning that in any way is absurd. Making this exponentially worse is the fact that the photo(s) in question are of her abuse. They are documents of a traumatic experience she suffered through as a

I’m fully behind cancel culture if it rids us of Marilyn Manson

What Rowling has said is shit. Don’t defend this bigot she has more than enough money to do it herself. If someone says awful things they should be held accountable.

It feels like sometimes folks from marginalized groups who attain a crazy amount of success - enough so that they’re essentially inoculated to hardships by money, power, fame, etc - and are able to take a far more forgiving stance on things, especially when it comes to friends. I’m thinking similarly of Ellen paling

The problem is all the films are formulaic, factory-produced, mass-commercial spectacle that require nothing from the audience but passive acquiescence. They don’t give you anything to think about. They are not examples of formal artistry. And they all but crowd out original, mid-budget adult films from being made and

Hey, you forgot about snide assholes in the comments section.
