I have never heard of Taco John’s in my life (and doubt there are any near me?), but now I’m tempted. It does sound like the kind of Tex-Mex that has never been close to anything Tex or Mex but...still delicious in that wonderfully trashy kind of way.

Safety is obviously the best reason to exercise care when eating in the car, but for myself, I’ll just confess that I’m super particular about food in my (super posh ‘08 Sonata) car...yeah, I don’t keep my car spotless, but I do NOT want food crumbs/fragments polluting my car. Just annoys me to no end. That’s the

Love this. I’ve never really been good at (or wanted to get into) baking, just because it seems so much more finicky and demanding than cooking. Cooking a meal - you can play with it, have fun, experiment and get good results most of the time. But baking? Intimidating since if you’re only a little off...disaster!

But

That’s how I do it. I love my beef/bean/cheese burritos, so rather than rely on fast food...just make a bunch myself, stick the ones I don’t eat in the freezer for a later date. And not even that expensive, since it’s just a lb of ground beef (plus taco seasoning of your choice), couple cans of refried beans, pack of

Awwww why? Can nothing good come from Tampa?  I grew up there haha so have to at least try and stick up for it...

The ingredients on a Cuban are so good, I’m not surprised that the Potbelly’s version is pretty decent! I am curious as to how they prep their roasted pork, and wondering how true that is to a proper Cuban.

Also as someone who grew up in Tampa and now live in far away Texas, I am very much craving a Cuban now and

Key thing? Get good food (or rather, food that people will enjoy). That’s pretty much it.

In my office lately, I’ve found the winner is just ordering those boxed lunches from a nearby deli/sandwich shop. You know, the kind where you order a mix of turkey sandwiches, roast beef sandwiches and veggie wraps. Each box

I’ve never got into the whole extreme hot sauce craze. Once I moved to Texas, realized that hot sauce/salsa was a much bigger deal so I have now been corrupted into eating a lot more hot sauce than I used to (eggs or breakfast hash without hot sauce just doesn’t seem right anymore!), but all those crazy extreme ones?

Yeah, these sandwiches don’t look that inspired. Honestly, I’d just go for the Spicy Italian and put on my standard veg.

Awww. I kinda love eating outside! Very much granted that the conditions aren’t always ideal, but if weather is halfway decent, I prefer outdoor eating every time. I’m in Texas and we’ve had a pretty delightful spring and so been taking full advantage of that to eat outside as often as possible! We have a lot of

I always laugh at the people that get so mad about pineapple on pizza. It’s a topping that some people like and some people hate...just like lots of other pizza toppings. It’s not inherently wrong to put it on pizza. Just a preference, people!! For what it’s worth, I think it’s tasty.

The soap on cast iron is a good

Facts.  Was in college from ‘05-’09 and had a Wendys at the union.  I lived on junior bacons...

It’s a toastie maker!

This is a fun topic and one I sadly think about far more than I should, partly because I’m in the single-and-trying-not-to-be stage, so been on quite a few dates in the past few years. A few considerations here:

Flats are the most fun to eat and I maintain they are also the most delicious. I don’t dip my wings usually, but if I do, I prefer ranch - why so many ranch haters out there!? But usually I got no time for dipping, just want to enjoy devouring my wings.

Can I ask a question - for info, honestly not being snarky! I don’t eat margarine myself - always buy butter because...well it seems better and more real and I like fancy butter.

French press (or cafetiere) for me, but I most certainly do need a kettle and grinder! Kettle for getting my water to precise temperature and grinder because I’m particular and like to grind my beans right before I pour the water in.

I finally at the end of the article figured out it must mean “Limited Time Only”. I think?

What keeps me from going meatless?

This is a very old article...
