I think that they think it is something that we started doing  a long long time ago without realizing how harmful it is. They believe the meat industry and mainstream scientific community is suppressing the new evidence that is “coming to light” which “disproves” the long held belief of our omnivorousness .

I never said it was rational, only that it’s not necessarily indicative of mental illness. Unless we were to start labeling stupidity as an illness, but that leads down a very dark path.

It might not BE a brain thing. It might be an Ideology thing. I know people who think humans being omnivorous is a myth perpetuated by the meat industry.they say that humans are not optimized for meat eating and that it’s harmful.

I’ve met people who believe man is not designed to digest meat and that us being omnivores is a myth perpetuated by the meat industry. putting your kid on a fruit ‘n nut diet is not that big of a leap in reasoning from that.

just because you do like someone doesn’t mean you should always automatically take them at their word, at least not where such serious things are concerned. skepticism is the basis of science, reason, logic, critical thinking, and the modern justice system.   

It has nothing to DO with women. you don’t take ANYONE at their word until evidence is presented. It’s called skepticism. Its the basis of Logic, the Socratic method, science, rationality, and the justice system.
