This is a good “Friday Story”

I get where you are coming from, but they are different vehicles.

Serious question: what makes the Lincoln Navigator $70,000 better than a Hyundai Palisade?

I would be potential buyer, though I am scared off by “It’s only $160 to replace”, then why not do it? If you are charging 7 grand for the car, spend under 200 hundred to get a functional AC and can maybe get more.

It’s hard to find an E30 in this condition for this price.  For a 635?  NP all over the place

Counterpoint. So pretty.

I initially read it as the Honda PCB00... lol

If you’re buying a 90's Honda sport tourer, you ought to be buying an ST1100 with double the horsepower. However, I rode my ST to work this morning so I might be *slightly* biased.

NP

A car sitting in a garage makes 0 horsepower.

I had forgotten there was a time when an M car could go this many miles.

For many people, if you don’t need a truck for work on a daily basis, you can get a perfectly nice used truck from the late 90s for $4-5k, all day long. Sure, it’s going to have miles on it, and it’s probably not great as a daily driver, but for weekend folks like me, it’s perfect.

Lol @ you for reading Jezebel weekend essays lol.

Now yours sounds like a truck I can appreciate. Honest, hardworking, and not the size of a fucking aircraft carrier. Most new trucks are just incredibly stupid with their space management.

Really disagree with this, particularly the sports car part of the analogy. They’re actually pretty antithetical to each other. Torch or somebody made this point in an article about being a ‘tough guy’ on the road a little while ago. There are fewer small, interesting cars on the road because these behemoths make it

“I wish my Range had more ways to fail” - No one ever.

$13k for the least reliable vehicle in the history of vehicles, with a bonus side of extra complication from a turbo? What could possibly go wrong?

90s Range Rover? Supercharged?

Trump knows plenty of things:

As a power train engineer, I made it through half of his speech before I could feel brain cells disappearing. FFS I’m going to my cabin in the woods, I’ll be back around Janurary 2021.
