A piece of shit? yet you still see them on the road. Which is more than anyone can say about the same era Cressida.
Put them in Formula Fords. Smaller, slower, and probably be more on par with old school cars. Make it even more interesting by running classic liveries too.
I’m going with mid to early 70's GM convertible. Possibly a ‘74 Chevrolet Caprice Classic
The only problem though is you have to actually drive an i3. Poor thing makes a Pontiac Aztec look like a supermodel.
My co-workers did the same. After which I’ve suggested that they look into the Chevy Volt. It’s the car they really want, but don’t know it yet anyway.
You make an excellent point. The only caviat here is, that a Fiesta ST (thanks to a hatch and folding flat seats) can probably do a lot of that stuff you mention (if you pack light).
Because the car is built for the 10% of owners that will take it to 200mph, not the rest of the owners that just drive it to look like they will go 200mph.
Amen to this
Fuck you Ford. I say this as an owner of a ‘16 Focus ST, a ‘02 SVT Focus, and a ‘93 Mustang LX 5.0.
Haha, nah...
There’s a few of the last generation Ford GTs out there like that. Just like dirty, wet, working farm dogs are the happiest dogs...I’ll bet used, beat on supercars are the happiest super cars.
Start your own spec racing class! Or gut and hitch the non working ones to the working one like a locomotive with train cars! Or keep the good one and scrap the non running ones and make a profit! So many ideas!
Champagne is the new beige. If anyone made a new beige car it would stand out.
I think what he was saying is, Ford could have designed cool fancy looking new switchgear but it would be a one-off and have been unproven. Because there are millions of F-150 trucks and the switchgear is a known quantity, then that’s why they put it in the GT. Makes sense...I don’t need a damn cool looking turn…
My grandfather was on ships (plural) that were sunk by the Germans in WWII. He drove a Volkswagen Van. He didn’t give a crap. He liked VWs. I don’t subscribe to the notion of blindly supporting brands, I always have and will continue to drive whatever floats my boat (pun intended).
I see someone posted this same thing below. My bad. I tried to delete this...but Kinja.
Holy crap....that looks like that hurt!
I have a friend who is a musician. He loves music and enjoys finding unheard-of bands. But, if that band becomes famous or has a hit song. He flips the switch and doesn’t like them. Is that common? What’s the deal with that? I suppose he thinks they “sold out” but really?! Isn’t that the goal? To get your music to the…
The formula for H-D’s success is crazy simple; Just do what Triumph is doing!
