That’s all true, and on paper it looks attractive, but don’t forget to factor in the penalties people often acquire for being over mileage or turning in a car with damage. I think there are just too many factors that can make renting...I mean leasing a car not worth it for too many people. People who are often caught

I suppose you may be right. It’s not for me....If I buy a $25,000 car and in 8 years sell it for $12,500 I feel like I’m on top of the game compared to someone who has a lease on a $25,000 car and gets nothing in the end at lease end. Also, of everyone I know that has leased a car...they all have regretted it,

“Ok, so how do you reconcile that notion with the fact that Lincoln is outselling Cadillac in the sedan segment?”

No leasing is almost always worse. At least when I trade in the Kia (though severely depreciated) for a Mustang, I’ll get at least some of my money back. But, If I turn in my lease, I walk away empty handed from basically long term “renting” a car.

Disagree. That’s why you target market. Advertise to old farts and young professionals at the same time in their respective spheres

I have a bonkers track day Honda Hawk GT motorcycle, it makes gobs of power and weighs nothing...it’s blisteringly fast.

I think it’s a fastback LX with the old 10-hole wheels. Probably a 4 banger as most 5.0's are modified by now.

It’s true, one day in my parking garage at work, I walked around looking for the oldest cars in there...aside from my 93 Mustang, I found 3 80's era Cavaliers, and an ‘85 Caprice. Not one single old Japanese car.

Or if it is a Fox Mustang as some believe (myself included) it could have LX “10 hole” wheels on it.

Focus ST (manual only) has roll control. It gives a little brake to the rear when on an incline, so you can effortlessly ease of the clutch and not roll back. As soon as you give it gas, brake releases.

Maybe you are right, maybe they are already in trouble...maybe they should have sunk more money into it to start with...maybe if they had, they wouldn’t be in trouble already.

Valid point.

Yeah, it’s a great place! I hear it’s really blowing up over there!

So true. My friend is driving a rental Nissan Space-Barge (Maxima) and I noticed that is has an Easter Egg in the tail light that reads 4DSC. I just shook my head.

“Marketing: Why build a better product when you can find a dumber customer?”

I’ve seen two red ones though.

That’s may be true on a Kia Soul, but they wouldn’t be slapping in the same cranky rubbery POS trans and shifter into a Stinger.

What’s worse than owning a Kia? Leasing one. Hardeeharhar. J/k (kinda)

You know, that’s a valid point....That said, you know Lincoln already has a 400hp TT V6 AWD sedan, right? Kinda badass....just nobody knows it.

Yep. 2013 was first year of Focus ST. I own one, love it. I was shopping for a used one once, but the incentives on the new ones actually made it less expensive to buy new! (That is if you qualify for their 0% financing)
