I’ll bet from a designer standpoint it started out that way, but then you know the bean counters got involved.

Well shit...I stand corrected.
I’m probably more of a Ford guy than a GM guy, but in the end I’m just a car guy. I love a lot of what both big companies are doing and agree, competition is good, especially fierce competition.
Which is a huge part of what makes up a modern broadcast. It’s a ying and yang thing. too much ying or too much yang without the other never works. I suspect there will be some awkward silence from time to time. The only way this might work is to abandon convention and really just let them make up a new format.
Continental isn’t a Fusion. And the Fusion is a good car, the Lincoln version is better. 400 TT V6 with AWD and way cheaper than anything comparably equipped. If you aren’t a brand slave, then it’s a killer buy.
Lincoln’s lack of success has more to do with marketing and reach than anything else. Rebadge any of their vehicles as a Lexus and people would line up for them. In what world is a 400hp turbo V6 sedan with AWD for less than 50k a bad thing? Lincoln has one, but you probably didn’t know that because they suck at…
As a broadcast professional with over 20 years in the business I can tell you with some modicum of experience that this will be a shitshow. Will I watch? You bet.
Come on down and get some of this shit.
STEP 1: Get in your car and drive to nearest Ford Dealership.
Have you seen the prices of old Honda CB’s these days?! People were giving them away 10 years ago. Now anyone with anything old thinks it should command top dollar.
I’m a motorcyclist in Florida. If I see any champagne colored cars (especially Camrys or any Buick) I take caution.
Actually, the design came from a concept car that Chrysler and Lamborghini collaborated on. It’s called the Portfino from the 1980's. A still timeless design.
Once saw a Lexus GS400 pull someone over. Tampa Police Dept. also has Dodge Dakota cop car. I’ve also seen several plain Jane Ford Fusion unmarked police cars in the Tampa area recently.
When I was a young man I worked at a craft store. I parked my car at the car end of the lot and put a car cover on my car everyday. Apparently, other employees thought I drove a Porsche or something but were confused why I worked stocking shelves at a craft store.
I bought this 1973 Triumph TR6 (my dream car) when I was young and poor. I spent all my money and time on it. My dad and I rebuilt it together, and I learned a lot. It’s the car that gave me many skills. When my wife and I had a baby, it was the most expensive thing in our lives, and was the most valuable thing we…
Thing is, i still see more of those on the roads than I do of same era Camrys
Nothing wrong with it, but nothing really right with it either. Just an amalgamation of other car designs all mashed together in one lumpy seed-pod-insect-face mobile.
Now that the regal wagon has been greenlighted for the U.S. I’d seriously consider that over the mini-van.
I understand at the entry level of motorsports (Shifter carts, etc) that it is fairly popular with young ladies, so maybe the future will be much different than the present.
I don’t think FIFA is a basteon of decency either. Don’t they shout racial slurs on the field, fight in the stands, and riot in the streets during and after matches from time to time?
