I didn't get a chance to post yesterday...but to me the Kia Spectra 5 was a direct rip-off if the Mazda Protege 5. Heck, Kia even stole the name!

A van without a backseat and they never carried anything in the back of the damn thing. Those morons, Scooby and Shaggy just had to ride on the floor in the cargo area. The only mystery I have is, why the hell didn't they just buy a backseat for that POS?

Gotta go with the Dodge Caravan "Man Van" R/T concept/test mule that was reportedly running around Detroit. Some say an intercooler lay behind that scoop.

It's highly probable that there is plenty-o-rust on the flip side. I mean 'excellent condition' in NY/NJ means something completely different than 'excellent condition' in FL/CA. If this were the perfect CL ad, there would be a photo of the chassis/suspension or in the very least a shot of the engine bay.

Actually as far as rigidity is concerned, a car with an OEM moon/sun roof, is more rigid. The hole has extra welded reinforcements around it that make the roof stronger, thus the car more rigid.

I had a '77 Batavus HS50 when I was a young lad (wrecked it after being shot at by rednecks with paintball guns.) Mine looked nothing like this 'cafe racer' mod'd one though, but now I want another one.

This is easy. Corvette. Stigma: The car reserved for hairy chested, gold chain wearing, toupee sporting sexagenarians hopped up on Viagra. Reality: A budget minded, full blooded sports car that can humble many Euro-exotics that cost 3 times as much.

VW proposed a concept a few years back that would have sold for an estimated $14k they said. This would outperform the base 4 banger Veedub, but I do like the more reserved styling of the VW. ( looks less like a transformer's head)

How about the PT GT cruiser? Yeah I know it's fugly, but the SRT4 powered old fart, fat assed PT Cruiser would make embarrassing JDM fan-boy wannabes so much more fun.

Subaru SVX. This just oozes 90s hi-tech. Bonus points for being emerald green and I bet it's got a Zach Morris Motorola in there.

I once drag raced a stock '90 Escort GT in San Antonio, Tx. The guy at the gate said I had nads to bring a car like that there and he let me in for free. I ran mid 16's, beat a crappy 80's El Camino and lost to everything else. By the end of the night I could hear people in the stands cheering me on as I staged each

Ferrari 458 Italia....that's me (dorky guy with glasses)

Its a bit tarted up for my taste, but nothing that can't be undone. It's clean and well sorted and would make a great well-rounded, do-anything performance car. As my generation gets older, more of us want these Fox cars to relive our glory days from the 80's & 90's and we will pay good money for the solid survivors.

Years ago I had a public access TV show in Tampa about cars (it's pretty cheesy, but hey I was way ahead of my time) and I did a story on the then 30 year old Datsun Z car. There's an interview with a lady that has a Nissan restored car (yellow Z). There's also a guy in the video that says he has Paul Newman's old

I'm a Fox owner and I can agree with you.

Here's a crazy idea...why not let current owners help to sell them. Cut them a commission for each one they sell. Boom! Dealer Network!

My friend and I do the same thing....sort of

I lived through the performance blight of the late 70's thru the 80's. The Fox 5.0 Mustang kept the torch alive for affordable muscle then. It still holds a place in my petrol pumping heart, as I own a 94k mile '93 LX 5.0 5 speed hatch today (pictured). Still formidable and still as much fun as it was 21 years ago.

I have a '04 4x2 Jeep Liberty Renegade with a 3.7 liter V6 and a 5 speed manual. It was a special order (I bought it used). The truck is indestructible but the shifter rows like a school bus.

Dodge Shelby Charger 2.2 Turbo.
